Hi Everyone!!

Well, we are back from sailing Guadeloupe and Dominica for nine days in early June, 2007 in perfect 16-20 kt winds and smooth seas with nary a rain shower in sight.  The 43' yacht "Encornet" behaved without a hitch and the people, places and food were superb.  Many thanks to Rob and Whitney Sommers for their hospitality in Dominica.  And thanks to all who put up with my tolerable French and even worse English!

Here are a few photos to give you a glimpse of the sights.  As you can see, the area is gorgeous and I am buying a small piece of land in Dominica (see view photo below) and hoping to buy more there as well.  More on that later!  Les Saintes is a jewel to visit and the snorkeling was great. 

Ship mate Robert was perfect crew and night captain and though the two bachelors enjoyed a fairly messy boat below, it was good to get away from the concrete rat race we call life here in the states (though Robert did have reason to use his cell phone on more than one occasion!!)
